Guest post today on the Office Elf Blog

Hi everyone. 🙂 I know it’s a late Blah-g post today–apologies in advance. Lisi and I were working on The Dirty Book Club and time slipped away from us. She had to finish off the day meeting her deadline, so she asked me to guest Blah-g this week. Lisi will be back next Wednesday with her usual post. For today, come gush over how good The Great Gatsby is. The movie and the book!

  1. OHHHH my gosh. I read the book this year (even though I’m only 12) and loved it!

  2. Leonardo DiCaprio painted the Mona Lisa according to a girl in my art class XD Great post!

  3. Alisha, I loved your post! And being the extreme book-magpie that I am, I’m going to read the Great Gatspy as soon as I’m done with exams. I’m sure it’ll be great. And I completely agree with you– I always feel a little edgy when a book I’ve read, particularly a favourite, is being turned into a movie. Most of the time, it’s a fail, and I feel as if the characters don’t connect well to the actual ones. But every once in a while, a movie like The Perks of Being A Wallflower comes along to change your mind.

Oh and Lisi, I really don’t mean to bother you, but my birthdays coming up, next Saturday on the 25th. It would make my whole day ( not to mention year) if one of my favourite authors were to give me a shoutout. If you do, I think I’ll die of happiness on the spot, and nope, no hyperbole here xD

  4. O just went to see the movie tonight and loved it!! I haven’t read the book, but my family has and they still loved the movie!!
I hope you all enjoy it!!

  5. Hey does anyone on here have a pinterest? because I have thought of a cool fun little thing as Lisi’s fans we could do. does anyone want to hear? 🙂 ( i am so excited!)

    • I want to hear. 🙂 And did you know Lisi has a Pinterest of her own? http://pinterest.com/lisiharrison/

She keeps track of her characters with it. Maybe your idea can be incorporated on her Pinterest, too!

      • Yeah I did know. I was actually her first follower on it! 🙂 but either way I was thinking of making a group pinterest board (or if y’all want maybe Lisi or you Alisha can make it, it doesn’t really matter to me. ) where all of the editors of it would be us as long as you have a pinterest of course. Anyways we could pin on it anything about Lisi or her books and stuff but it could also be where we could just pin other random stuff where say if one of on here needs help with a school project we could pin different ideas that might help them or say If someone is having a bad day or sad we could pin some quotes or something funny we found to make them feel better or stuff that shows how weird we really are haha. Just anything to let us true Lisi fans be able to connect more i guess and be able to help each other more than we might be able to in just these comments . 🙂 and also whenever we pin something we can just write in the comment section of the pin to whom the pin is for. Does this sound like a good idea?

      • Also do you have your own pinterest account Alisha?

  6. we could also pin book recommendations that you might think we want to read too. sorry I keep commenting. I keep coming up with all of these ideas we could do with this and since I am about to fall asleep any second I want to write it down before I forget. haha

  7. Hey Lisi,
I know you may not be taking more questions but recently I’ve been wanting to write a book about the 1950s but don’t know where to start because I’m not sure if I know enough about the era. Any suggestions?

  8. What if Lisi made a book that answered all of our ehmafraud questions we have been asking her. The title could be “dear ehmafraud”

  9. whoah this weblog is wonderful i really like reading your articles.
Keep up the great work! You understand, a lot of persons are hunting
round for this info, you could help them greatly.

  10. At this time I am ready to do my breakfast, when having my
breakfast coming yet again to read other news.
