    Dear Lisi Harrison,

My name is Megan and I am a 7th grader at Epiphany Cathedral School in Florida. Over the summer I was required to read four books. I chose one of your books, Top of the Feud Chain. I have read many of your other books, but I like Top of the Feud Chain the best. Let me give you some reasons why I liked Top of the Feud Chain the best.

I really enjoyed Top of the Feud Chain because I was always on edge wondering what was going to happen next. For example, when AJ admitted to putting veggies oil in the PAP. I thought Louise or Mel would have done something to sabotage them. It was also cool the way you made Charlie, Skye, and Allie meet up and forgive each other after they fought on the plateau. My favorite part of the book though, would have to be when Shira told the girls that they were on the newest hit TV show, Alpha Academy. Either that or when all the girls met up again for the first time in six months for the “Alpha Academy Reunion Special”.

I also thought it was “ah-mazing” how you used so many figures of speech including; similes, metaphors, and flashbacks. While reading, I also learned a lot of new words, like perversely, torque, and sashay. I will now add those words to my vocabulary. I really enjoyed Top of the Feud Chain, and I hope to read more of your books in the future. I would also really appreciate it if you could reply. Thank you so much.

    Sincerely,
    Megan Bettley

P.S. I have a blog, too and it would be great if you could visit it sometime. Here is the URL: megansblog.edublogs.org. Thanks again.

What’s with all the germ masks. Is Canada super germy or something?

I will finally be 16 in 2 more days! I am so happy that my birthday is on blah-g day too.Wed is going to be busy for me. The only downside is that i have to go to school, but that does not really matter because all the stuff going on that day cancels out the “having to go to school” thing. Also because I kinda like school too though. πŸ™‚

Thank you Kathy! πŸ™‚ So far it has been an amazing sweet 16! So before school had even started, my friends and i got our lockers right next to each other so this morning they had decorated them with birthday decorations, and one of my classes sang happy birthday to me. Also after school i went and got my permit!!! Then when i got home Lisi had her blah-g up so I was able to read that and find out about the awesome news about the Pretenders release date! Yay πŸ™‚ Even though nothing huge went on today I am still really happy because all the little things added up makes it special. πŸ˜€

Thanks Alisha!! This will definitely come in handy when I’m sick! I knew about drinking lots of water but not the others!! Here are some other tricks I’ve picked up:
1)When your sick it also helps not to skip meals. I guess that way your body has the strength it needs to keep you healthy and fight illnesses πŸ™‚
2)You should also eat chicken soup: “Homemade soup is much more effective than soup-in-a-can. Chicken contains a natural amino acid called cysteine which thins mucous in the lungs, making it easy to expel. Make your soup spicy. Using spices like cayenne pepper will help break up mucous in your body.”

    I hope these help!
    Kathy

I’ve heard of this homemade chicken soup advice, but what if I don’t eat chicken? Do you think a vegetable soup with a ton of spices will help just as well? I’m going to give it a go and see what happens…

      Thanks for the tips, Kathy!
