I’m Baaaaack!

Lisi HarrisonOkay, so, I know I’ve been missing for a year or two. And I’m genuinely sorry. Writing a new series requires a ton of energy. Writing a new series during a pandemic with a house full of Zoom sounds and teen boy smells requires even more. Is it a good excuse? I hope so. It’s the only one I have. But I’m back, and I’m ready to introduce you to the voices that have been laughing, stressing, and bickering inside my head since the summer of 2019.

Friends, meet the girls of Girl Stuff.

Fonda, Drew, and Ruthie have been nesties–next-door besties–for as long as they can remember. These Southern California girls love Friday night sleepovers, fro-yo with unlimited toppings, and stacks of friendship bracelets. Most of all, they love each other. And now that they’re going to the same middle school, they can finally be together all the time. But as soon as the first bell rings, seventh-grade stuff starts to get in the way. Suddenly, each nestie wants something different and all this togetherness may tear them apart.

Fonda Miller

Fonda

Fonda Miller wants to start a popular friend group and rule the school but a group of girls called the Ava’s are way ahead of her.

Drew Harden

Drew

Drew Harden wants that cute skater boy she met at summer camp to stop acting like a flake and start liking her back.

Ruthie Goldman

Ruthie

Ruthie Goldman, who was placed in the gifted program, wants to find a way to join her two worlds so she can stop missing out.

Change is coming, whether these nesties want it or not–because seventh grade is going to be full of girl stuff, boy stuff, and for the first time, friend stuff…

“The writing is funny and will land well with a tween audience, as will the theme of shifting friendship. . . This will hit a sweet spot for tweens.” —Kirkus Reviews
