Lisi Harrison Talks Middle School Struggles with Author Jen Calonita.

Hello Friends and Stalkers,

Last week I had a very honest conversation with author Jen Calonita about navigating middle school. We talked about our new books, our fantasy do-overs, and how the struggles we had as 12-year-olds haven’t gone away. We also explore my new favorite question: Is it possible for friends to grow up without growing apart?

Well? Is it? What do you think?

Enjoy!

xoxo Lisi

    Dear Lisi,
I know many people say this, but I’m just going to say it again in a different way. I HEART THE CLIQUE SERIES. You are my favorite author, and my idol. My cousin used to read this novel, and when I was about 10, she gave the whole series to me, except for the last book 😭. (I was able to borrow the last book at the library) I read it all, rereading it. My favorite book is probably My Little Phony and Dial L for Loser. When I first started reading The Clique, I read it starting from the book (I forget the title) where they are disbanded and Alicia is making SoulM8s. Or smth like that. Anyway, it’s been a few years since I got those books from my cousin and I finished it like a year ago. I recently borrowed the last book and it made me cry. I felt like I had lost some friends, and I felt as tho I wouldn’t be able to understand these books anymore. Well, I was wrong. I kept rereading them (still do), and it still brings me so much joy. Because of you, I really want to be an author, and I heart your writing technique. “It’s ah-mazing!” – Massie. I’m really proud of how your life is doing, and I recently found this blog. I’m really sad that you don’t post that much anymore. I wish I found this 10 years ago 😀
    – thanks, Sarah

    Hi Lisi,
I was just reminiscing on my pre-teen years when I was obsessed with The Clique as well as your blog. I recall checking your blog every Wednesday to read about you and your exciting life. It felt like you were a big sister. I remember one evening the comment section going crazy because you hadn’t made a post and we were all so worried about if you were okay (back before social media was really a thing lol). Obviously you were, and you came back the next day with sweet words. Anyway I’m glad to see that you’re still doing well. Your books were the love of my youth and I just wanted to pop in and thank you for that. You’re Ah-Mazing. xxoo

Hi Lisi! Excited to see Girl Stuff. released! I have been a big fan of your writing for a long time and always pick up your new books. I remember you mentioning that you were going to write another book in the Clique universe a couple years ago. Should we keep our hopes up or did you bury the project? Thanks and best wishes!

    Hey Lisi,

Well ever since I finished the clique series, I haven’t been able to get it out of my thoughts. Sooooo I’m here to ask, are you gonna continue the clique?
